What is Red Thread?
Red Thread is a foliar disease that usually occurs on taller mown turf grasses with increased moisture during the Spring & Fall. Visually you will see red or pink circular patches occurring in your lawn.
Why does Red Thread occur?
Red Thread typically occurs during moist, cool conditions, especially during extended dew periods.
What you can do:
Avoid irrigation practices that extend dew periods. Do not water in the late afternoon or early evening.
What you can do to benefit most from today’s visit:
This disease is largely cosmetic and will grow out with fertilizer applications.
